As a paranormal fan with Midwestern roots, I have been following the story of the Ammons’ family since it broke in 2014. The IndyStar published an in-depth article about the eerie case, which focused on Latoya Ammons and her three children being possessed by demons. One of the things that made this claim so interesting was that it included reports from reputable sources, such as police officers, a child care services worker, and a hospital nurse. Two of these sources were also witness to one of the children, a 9-year-old boy, walking backwards up a wall. Needless to say, the story got national attention.

Once the story went wide, Ghost Adventures host Zak Bagans purchased the house over the phone, sight unseen, and his new film, Demon House, documents the story and paranormal investigation of the property. While Ghost Adventures‘ viewers will be familiar with what to expect as far as the style of documentary, only a brief portion of the film focuses on the ‘lock down’. The story and history of the family takes up a large portion of this movie, but with such a complex story, it is necessary and stays interesting. That said, the level of activity caught on tape is insane and is well worth the wait.
