In 1988, the plot of Sorority Babes in The Slimeball Bowl-o-Rama or SBITSBOR for short went like this: As part of a sorority ritual, pledges, and their male companions steal a trophy from a bowling alley; unbeknownst to them, it contains a devilish imp who gives them wishes and makes their lives a living Hell. The movie starred scream queens Linnea Quigley and Brinke Stevens and became a cult classic thanks to Charlie Band and his team at Full Moon Features. 24 years later, everyone’s favorite wish-grantin’, murder-lovin’ mischievous gremlin, the Imp, is back! And so are the babes! The Pi Epsilon Delta sorority house has seen better days, but the girls are intent on gaining some recruits. With housemother Auntie Snake (Scream Queen legend Kelli Maroney) as their guide, the naughty hijinks and hilarity begin. Meanwhile, though, the Bowl-O-Rama bowling alley has had a break-in and a breakout. With the escape of the magical and murderous Imp, it’s a fight for survival, with only one mysterious girl holding the answers to the riddle of the Imp’s wish.
Although the original looked like it had a decent budget to have a few cool makeup effects, a few locations, and even a car flip near the end, the sequel on the other hand felt like the producers asked the crew “How much do you have in your wallet?” because it looked very cheap and seemed like they shot the movie in a week. But I’ll say if you turn your brain off for the 62 min running time, you’ll enjoy the ridiculousness. Sorority 2 is directed by original actress Brinke Stevens who also makes a special appearance along with another actress from the first one Michelle Bauer. The new sorority girls and the bros are dumber than a box of rocks in this and you hope most of them get killed. The only new character I cared about was Bitsy played by Glory Rodriguez. From the moment she came on screen, you know she’s the next Spider (who was played by Linnea Quigley in the original) and will outsmart the devilish imp. There were a few things I found pretty damn funny once the imp showed up at the bowling alley. Especially someone wanting a shit ton of money. I’ll just leave that there.

Even though this sequel is more ridiculous than the original, I still had a good time with Sorority Babes in The Slimeball Bowl-o-Rama 2. This is the second time I’ve watched a project directed by Brinke Stevens. The first one was a short she directed called Personal Demons that was screened after a short I Associate Produced and Edited called The Gardener. So far this is the second project she’s ever directed and I’d like to see more from her. To wrap up, SBITSBOR 2 is not as good as the original but there are moments to enjoy during the short 62-minute film. It’s nice to see a few familiar faces from the original as well as Kelli Maroney pop in to kick some ass.
