In this kooky comedy put on by our friends at Force of Nature Productions, Romeo and Juliet, awake from their deaths to find themselves stuck in their own personal Hell – forced to listen to West Side Story tunes for the rest of eternity. Their only means of escape is to suffer through a production of their life story performed by the other inhabitants of Hell – Shakespeare’s deceased characters – who butcher the story in hilarious ways!
Romeo And Juliet In Hell was full of inside jokes and puns that were especially geared towards theatre-goers. The talented and lively cast kept the energy through the roof and the laughs coming. We were really impressed by the simple but effective set that looked like a Funhouse version of Hell or a set from Beetlejuice! This wasn’t the most meaningful or impactful show we’ve seen from FON, nevertheless, we enjoyed the hour plus of nonsense, quips and silliness.
Romeo And Juliet In Hell was written and directed by Matt Ritchey. It features the talents of Kawika Aguilar, Colton Butcher, Carlos Chavez, David Chernyavsky, Jonathan Cho, Jennifer Novak Chun, Lauren Diaz, Ron Gabaldon, Nick Ley, Mikael Mattsson, Sebastian Muñoz, Therese Olson, Graydon Schlichter, Brenton Sullivan, Chloe Zubiri.
