Orange County Home Haunt, THE PIRATE’S CAVE, Opening October 23

The Pirate’s Cave home haunt will be open for its 21st year providing family-friendly scares to the city of Villa Park & Orange. To keep Halloween alive this year, the cave has transformed into a walk up yard display like no other. This year you will be told the origins of The Pirate’s Cave and how the undead crew was released. The event is a 10-minute multi-screen video projection show synced to lighting effects, props, special effects, and live actors. More nights have been added this year to allow for smaller crowds. Masks are required to view the show along with proper social distancing and other COVID-19 safety measures.

The Pirate’s Cave Haunt is a labor of love headed up by a father and son team, Dave & Jacob Larson at their home. It takes about 3 months of preparation and up to 25 volunteers to set-up and run the haunt each year. This year, Jeffrey Simons of Keller Williams Realty, and Pam Dunn of Mulberry Street Mortgage will return as significant sponsors for the event.
