Welcome to 2044 Los Angeles. A new underground entertainment is popping up in secret locations around the city called dreamscape immersion. Over time, MRI technology has advanced so we can now see other people’s dreams. SLEEPWALKER 2.0 immerses guests in a thrilling 50-minute journey through three distinct dream worlds. Each dream offers a unique narrative experience through the masterful use of 360-degree audio and practical sensory effects.
The first dream, “The Superstore,” dropped us into the chaos of a packed big-box store on Black Friday. Tensions and desperation run high as our protagonist Parker navigates the retail madness. The second, “The Battle,” placed us in the middle of an unknown underwater conflict as a damaged submarine takes on water. In the third, “The Forest,” we faced deep-rooted fears as an ominous presence stalks the dark woods.Â
Each dream is packed with abstract storytelling, immersive sounds that’ll wrap all the way around you, and live special effects. We loved the clever sprinkles of comedic relief to break things up. And while we don’t want to share any spoilers, you’re certainly in for a surprise!
Creators Sam Kellman and David Coleman bring vast experience in immersive entertainment through their work with productions such as The Opechee Haunt, Twisted, and their previous collaboration on SLEEPWALKR. Their combined backgrounds in writing, production design, and audiovisual skills provide SLEEPWALKR 2.0‘s dream worlds with a truly cinematic edge.
