The experience we’ve all been waiting for, I Like Scary Movies, is now open!

I was able to visit the expansive 25,000 square foot horror haven ahead of today’s grand opening, and I was completely blown away! ILSM doesn’t have any scare actors or light/strobe effects to scare you so you really get to focus on the design and craftsmanship. And of course, take a million photos!

ILSM celebrates some of our favorite films, including The Shining, IT (Chapter 1), A Nightmare on Elm Street, Beetlejuice and The Lost Boys. There are various scenes and multi-sensory experiences set up for each film, with more than two dozen detailed photo opps. You can visit The Overlook Hotel, Freddy’s boiler room, Pennywise’s lair, the Netherland waiting room, Santa Clara train tracks and more, all in one evening! I ended up spending nearly two hours inside and came out with more amazing photos than I know what to do with. These are some of my favorites:
