Happy Halloween Month! Itâs time for Golden State Ghoulsâs 31 Days Of Halloween! With so many spooky attractions and events happening in SoCal, weâve put together a list of some of our top âmust-seeâ haunts, theatre experiences, spooky events, movie releases, and more, giving you something Halloween-y to do every day of the month!
Most of these haunts and activities are open select days throughout the month (some are year-round!), so make sure to visit their sites for additional dates and information. While weâve included brief descriptions and age suggestions, we also recommend visiting each attractionâs website for age, health, and mobility restrictions.
Saturday, October 1 – Knottâs Scary Farm
Buena Park, CA â Knottâs Scary Farm â the granddaddy of them allâ is the largest and most haunting Halloween event in Southern California, with unimaginable scares and innovative thrills that canât be found anywhere else. The fully transformed theme park features uniquely haunted mazes and attractions, sinister shows, and more than 1,000 horrifying creatures lurking in the fog and hiding in every corner of the park. These haunted attractions have the ingredients of a truly terrifying nightmare. But unlike most dreams, Knottâs Scary Farm is a nightmare you canât wake up from — which makes it the thing to do for Halloween.

Sunday, October 2 – Shaqtoberfest outside The Queen Mary
Long Beach, CA â The ultimate Halloween destination for family-friendly trick-or-treating, ghoulish games, delicious treats, specialty libations, frightfully fun nighttime haunted trails and exciting live entertainment that encapsulates Shaquille OâNealâs playful personality. Located alongside one of Los Angelesâ most haunted landmarks, SHAQTOBERFEST will include six thrilling Halloween-themed areas for guests to explore, each featuring Halloween trails, games, live entertainment, food and beverage vendors and more. Corona Del Mar, CA – Rogerâs Gardensâ Halloween Boutique, a Southern California shopping destination for creatively curated Halloween dĂ©cor and one-of-a-kind Halloween artisan pieces, is now open! Rogerâs Gardens has been creating this amazing experience for over 30 years. This yearâs theme is NIGHTMARE, their own take on spooky season favorite The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Thursday, October 6 – 17th Door
Fullerton, CA – Evil pervades this space which has become a black reality. The question is⊠Will it become yours? Valencia, CA – Six Flags Magic Mountainâs 29th season of Fright Fest is back with 23 terrifying nights of monsters, ghouls, and creepy characters ready to strike fear in any one who crosses their path. Monday, October 10 – Hocus Pocus 2
Streaming on Disney+ â Itâs been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the 17th-century Sanderson sisters, and they are looking for revenge. Wednesday, October 12 – Live Oak Canyon Pumpkin Patch
Redlands, CA – This is the LARGEST outdoor pumpkin patch in Southern California. Open from 4 to 9pm, there is much more to do than just see pumpkins. Check out the Corn Maze, Hay Pyramid, Petting Zoo, Corn Cob Beach, Fun Slide, Pumpkin Wheel⊠you could spend a week here! Thursday, October 13 – The Willows
Los Angeles, CA â They make the Addams Family look like The Brady Brunch. This iconic LA family has opened their doors once again to friends and fans, just in time for Halloween. La Cañada Flintridge, CA â For three weeks in October, hundreds of carved pumpkins will line the Camellia Forest. Wednesday, October 19 – The Weeping Witch at Cross Roads Escape Games
Anaheim, CA â The Weeping Witch is a spirit that lures people close by mimicking the sound of a woman crying. When people hear its wails, they follow the sound into the darkness, thinking someone needs help. Once they get close enough, the Witch attacks and slowly sucks the life out of its victims. Sunday, October 23 – Castle Dark
Riverside, CA â True nightmares come out, when Castle Park transforms into fright-filled Castle Dark. The Evil Morgana has opened her spell book, summoning haunts, ghouls, and monsters from every nook. Sheâs captured Merlin and locked him away, leaving you alone to navigate sinister traps and find your own way. Frightening characters on every corner haunt three new mazes, where scare zones abound.

Monday, October 24 – Los Angeles Haunted Hayride
Los Angeles, CA â Guests can expect a return to Midnight Falls – a strange town thatâs Halloween year round, featuring fan favorite mazes including the Hayride, Trick or Treat, Midnight Mortuary, and (S)Laughterhouse – a newly revamped maze for 2022. Monte Revolta – the self appointed Mayor of Midnight Falls – will be also making a triumphant return with his highly anticipated nightly Town Square performances.

Sunday, October 30 – House of Spirits
Los Angeles, CA â An immersive theatrical cocktail soirĂ©e, where adults do Halloween in a haunted mansion. Experience the haunting tale of Lady Medb who after being impregnated by a black-horned devil, gave birth to the devilâs child in Vaughan Hall. The fires of Hell instantly ignited and consumed the room in flames, burning all alive. Thus goes the legend of Vaughan Hall, but what really happened to the Vaughan clan was much more disturbing.
