We’ve had such an amazing time visiting home haunts all over SoCal this season. These haunters’ dedication to their craft and the season has been truly inspiring. We wish we had the time to visit every single one! Here are some of our favorites this season that still have remaining dates:
- Murder House Productions – Wendigo
This year, MHP’s Wendigo is putting some professional haunts to shame. With immaculately timed light and sound effects, a variety of scares, enthusiastic actors and fantastically detailed sets, this Thousand Oaks home haunt is worth every minute of the drive up there. Kudos to creators Aurora and Kyle – you’ve outdone yourselves!

- Rotten Apple 907 – The Death Triangle
It’s hard to believe this is built at someone’s house! The Death Triangle is a Bermuda Triangle theme featuring a sinking ship, crashed plane, sharks, jellyfish and all sorts of other cool stuff. We were absolutely in awe of the size of this home haunt. Get there early, there is always a line!

- VanOaks CemeteryÂ
This yard display is so beautiful. We love all of the handmade details, audio cues and subtle movements. Make sure to spend a few minutes there to take everything in.

- Corona Haunt – Sweet Tooth Sinister Factory
We visited Sweet Tooth Sinister Factory last weekend and it was pleasantly disturbing! This homemade walkthrough was fun and vibrant with a healthy dose of gore. It even had themed scents!

- Hollenbeck House Haunt
This might have been the maze that made us scream the most this season! They have a great mix of scareactors and animatronics inside, and sometimes it’s hard to tell which is which! Well worth the $5 ticket.

- MacDevitt Manor – Infestation
We spoke to the creator, Kirk, who had tried to make 2018 his last year. Fortunately for us, he couldn’t stop haunting. We were so impressed with the set design and the layout that he managed to create just in his driveway!

We’re not visiting Opechee Haunt until Halloween, but it’s received rave reviews! Jack’s Halloween JamBOOree2 is a family-friendly show that runs aproximately every 45 minutes.
